1. The essence of our being is love.
God is Love, and we are all a part of God. Hasselbeck says, "God is the power and presence that IS MY LIFE." So we may say Love is the power and presence that IS OUR LIVES. I believe it is necessary to open to this awareness daily in order for it to become a living part of us. The following is from My Spoken Meditation in Newsletter No. 2. This is an affirmation I make in meditation every day (as a way of opening daily to the awareness that we are Love, perhaps you might like to add this affirmation to your own crockpot of spiritual ideas, and let it slow cook with other spiritual ideas currently important to you. Daily allow Love to become a living part of you):
"I take this now moment to open to the awareness that love is life essence; love is my essence. I am an expression of God's love. I will take every opportunity today to express love, because God is love and I am a part of God.
Love is the constant living of kindness, caring and compassion for everyone, including me. Love is radical acceptance of everyone on the planet just as they are - now and at every moment. Dearest Loving Creator and Sustainer your infinite love fills me, my surroundings and my affairs now. Filled with your love there is no room for any negativity, lack, fear or worry in my life. I see your love filling the whole world now; filled with your love, I visuallize our world without any negativity, lack, fear or worry."
6. We can learn to love ourselves and others by forgiving rather than judging.
7. We can become love finders, rather than fault finders.
Focusing on two ideas daily will allow non-judgment to become a living reality:
- There are no justified resentments.
- "All negative thoughts are lies." Joseph Murphy
From Newsletter No. 1, "Even though such a non-judgmental life is difficult, we can at least make the effort, and in doing so make a positive spiritual transformation on earth more likely. When anyone offends you, seek only to find the common ground; when anyone hates you because of what you believe or who you are, seek only to find the common ground; when anyone treats you unjustly, seek only to find the common ground; when anyone disagrees with you, seek only to find the common ground."
I take to heart the words of Lo Po Hu in the Tao of Silence, "'Learn not to argue with anyone even though you may disagree with him. When he speaks the truth say,"yes." When he lies say, "Surely you know what you are saying." But never argue about anything already said. Thus, only, will your soul listen and hear the Tao of Silence."'
