Although this is a copyrighted website, I have never thought very much that fact; however, recently someone took something I wrote on the site and had it published in a magazine under their name. It happened to be a magazine I read.
If you read my site very often you know that I am practicing a year of living positively. This is an effort to not only stop negative thoughts whenever I notice them appearing in my mind, but also to stop categorizing things that happen as negative. I have found that things I thought initially were negative occurances in my life, later turned out to be very positive.
The truth I know is to be open to whatever comes. The truth I know is "judge not lest ye be judged." The truth I know is forgiveness - not just seven times, but seventy times seven. The truth I know is that Love is always THE answer.
What I have found over and over again in my life is that whenever I say I believe something, when I espouse it and write about it, Life will very soon present a situation in my life which will allow me the opportunity to life that truth I just espoused. Life has been so consistent in saying to me, OK so you say you believe this- well here's a situation that will challenge you to actually live this truth you say you know.
I have espoused all of these truths above, and I believe life has just, once again, presented me with both a challenge and opportunity to really live them.
First, to be open to whatever comes. I live in faith that God is always leading me to my highest good. I live in faith that with the Divine Presence within I have all that I need to overcome any situation. Whatever comes will in the end be a lesson and a blessing. I can only say - thank you God for what has come.
Second, to accept things without judgment. Do not judge the action as negative. Do not judge the person as bad. Simply let it be.
Third, to forgive. I know that holding on to this perceived agrievement will only harm me - festering in my mind and in my body and in the outer manifestation of my life. My lack of forgiveness will in no way affect the other person.
Fourth, To Love. Simply, no matter what the question, no matter what the situation - Love is always THE answer. I pray for an visualize Love surrounding and permeating my situation.
So for this blessing I have been given I say thank you God. To the gentleman who used my writing as his own I say (he must at least occasionally read this site):
- I pray you will act with integrity, but whether you do or don't, I offer you Love, forgiveness and understanding. After all I am greatly complimented that you found my words valuable enough to use. I hold the vision of you enfolded in God's Love. I hold no resentment and forgive you without condition.
- I know that God can take any situation that appears negative and turn it to our benefit. Today I affirm this will happen for both of us.
- May we both engage in a year of living positively.
(The phrase - live the truth you know - is the fifth of the five basic tenets of the Unity churches).
